Summertime. Sweet summertime. She’s finally here and I am beyond delighted. As I have shared, one of the things I love about summer is how it provides me with the opportunity to really change things up with my style. After months and months of living in oversized sweaters, I am usually ready for the change of pace and welcome the refreshed creativity to actually put together an outfit.

Perhaps what makes this summer even more interesting is that it is a summer following a willd year of living a bit more low key, which has definitely changed the game a bit in terms of work wear.  If you follow Wardrobe Therapy, the styling firm I work for, you would likely know that we’ve shared a bit about various things happening in the workplace: hybrid workplace, fully back to the office and so on. Regardless of the environment or day of the week people are going into the office, people are getting DRESSED. Praise.

While I don’t work in a traditional office, I’ve always dreamed of working in one. You know, to have my Devil Wears Prada moment. Haha. So definitely more of a creative professional environment, so I could wear things that didn’t fit into the traditional work place, like wearing a denim skirt Monday through Thursday. So I allowed that inspiration to drive me to creating a fun summertime office look for the creative professional. Or perhaps you can wear denim on Fridays, so this could be an option for you on casual Friday.  All I know is that this skirt is amazing and will be a summer workhorse, but will also transition beautifully into fall and winter, making it a true trans-seasonal piece. But for now, let’s just focus on summer, because summer only lasts for just a moment.

BEST,

Candace
