A summer pause.

Hello, my sweet readers!

A quick life update if you will for you gals. After a lot of contemplation and reflection, I’ve decided to take a break from sharing content here on the blog and over on Instagram for the month of June. This time away will allow me to fully immerse myself in the beautiful moments life has to offer, and reconnect with the joys that often go unnoticed in the fast-paced world of social media.

The last 6 months, I have been busy, busy, busy. A good busy for sure. But. a few weeks back, I found myself reflecting on time during the stay-at-home order at the beginning of the pandemic. While afraid of the unknown, I had so much time to pause, to breathe, and to simply sit and think. While that was an incredibly challenging time in a lot of ways, I think that space we had to simply be was one of the beautiful things to come out of it. During the stay-at-home order, I realized the importance of finding balance and really nurturing my own well-being.

After three years of constantly being on the go (aside from the occasional short break, of course), I believe it is essential to take a step back and relish in the simple pleasures of life. My goal during this sabbatical is to live fully in the present moment, seek out joy in the small things, and reignite my creativity.

June is a particularly significant month for our family. We’ll be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, I’ll be officially entering my mid-30s, and my husband Jason is well on his way to becoming an official “old man” as he works towards his goal of joining the senior golf tour by the time he turns 50. We’ll also be celebrating our precious pup Roosevelt’s birthday! I’m aware enough to know that these sweet moments are treasures that I want to experience fully, without the potential distraction of sharing them online in real time. Don’t worry - I’ll be sure to share a full recap when I’m back!

These past few months have sparked a profound wonder and reflection in me, leading me to truly recognize that social media is a curated highlight reel of our lives. Amidst this realization, I feel compelled to give myself the time and space to simply be; to immerse myself in the mysteries and beauties of life, and embrace the true essence of living.

So, friends, I am excited to announce that I am officially out of office on summer break! I’ll be back on July 10th. While I’m away, I’ll be using this time to rejuvenate my spirit, ignite my creativity, and gather inspiration to share with you upon my return. I encourage you to take a step back as well, and find your own moments of tranquility and joy. Disconnecting from the online world, even for a short time, can provide immense clarity and a renewed sense of purpose.

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support, love, and understanding. I am immensely grateful for this community. With that said, let’s embrace this opportunity to celebrate life’s sweet moments and come back in July stronger, more refreshed, and ready to embark on new adventures together!

Until we meet again, I wish you all a splendid month filled with joy, love, and lots cherished memories.

EN VERITE,

Candace
