Hello 2-0-1-8. This is my first official blog of the YEAR! While it wasn’t planned, I decided to take a little time away from the blog to get focused for the year. Here’s the fact of the matter, you can’t plan properly or make attainable goals when you are running around like a chicken with your head cut off. Granted, I’m still running around full speed, but I do feel that I was able to get some things in order! Going to finish up my planning since we have a snowy weekend ahead!

I’m not sure if you noticed or not, but my last two posts of 2017 featured two local brands that I adore dearly, W Nail Bar and The Blowout Bar. Gah, Columbus seriously has some gems! I’m excited to kick off this year by sharing about another local brand that I’ve learned about, as well as grown to love and that’s Tigertree. Located on High Street, Tigertree is an artful boutique. From clothing to jewelry to cool giftables to vintage goods, they’ve got it all. When I walked in for my first Tigertree shopping experience, I heard my senior dance solo music playing! Some french song that I don’t even know the name of, BUT…I knew that was a sign that I would be loving myself some Tigertree. I found some pretty lovely gems, including this cozy oversized cardigan, these Levi rise skinny jeans (Man, I don’t know the last time I had a pair of Levi’s) and this killer hat by Brixton.

You’ll be delighted to know that all of these pieces were and are super affordable! The splurge item was definitely the cardigan, but it is totally one of those pieces that will warrant frequent wears (especially with this arctic weather we have coming tonight). We all have some Christmas moo la left burning a hole in our pocket. So rather than spending it elsewhere, spend it locally! I know life is often busy and it’s easier to pop over to the mall to find new threads, but there’s truly something magical about boutique shopping! Without question, it’s a unique experience that lends to finding unique pieces for your wardrobe. It’s highly likely that you won’t be adventuring out this weekend, but next week or next weekend, when you do, I encourage you (or as my husband would say “I implore you”) to visit Tigertree! Lots of lovely things that will make your soul happy.
