Sooo, August 1st is TOMORROW…which means it’s basically time for me to start talking back to school style. But here’s the truth, I have about 9 sets of summer photos (including this look) that I still need to post! Yikes. So, if it’s ok with you cool cats, we are going to pretend that Summer is still in full swing as I share these looks here on the site.

Welp (and yes, that is one of my favorite words), this post has been a longtime coming. Honestly, I wonder if I've been slow in posting it because I am not ready to close the book on Marfa?! As I've said on countless occasions, this trip was seriously magical.

If you’ve been following me awhile now, then you already know that I have infinite love for evening wear. I am personally convinced that my love for gowns started at a young age, thanks to dance and my participation in pageants. Yup, typical Southern Bell here.

Happy 4th of July my sweet friends! While most of you are out enjoying (which you should be), I am currently trying to get caught up on life. As I have said on numerous occasions, the last couple of months have been interesting for me. Lots of change, growing, stretching and all of those other fun adjectives.

I'm a Southern gal, so naturally I'm drawn to crisp whites and of course, summertime is the best time to rock a crisp white. There's something perfectly refreshing, charming and feminine about wearing white...and honestly, I don't wear it enough!

Seeing Prada Marfa had been on my bucket list for quite some time. Just two years ago when decorating my office, I decided to make the iconic artwork that represents this installation art piece, the focal point of my design.

Wowzers, that was super quick. Four Years. In some sense, it really does feel like it was yesterday that we got married. On the other hand, it seems like we've been together for an eternity already! ha.

Few people know this, but one of the things that really peaked my interest in Fashion was Boutique shopping. I'll never forget my first time walking into a boutique (it was February 2008) and what it felt like. It was truly something special.

The City of Marfa. Without question, one of the most magical places I have ever been! For those of you who don't follow along via social media, this past April I made a trip out West to visit this gem of a city, along with a few gal pals.

I feel like it's pretty safe to cue Brittany Spear's "Ooops, I Did It Again." Inconsistency has definitely been my middle name for the last couple of weeks. To be completely honest, life has been serving me all kinds of curveballs. From personal things to work things to life things...I've been hardcore riding the struggle bus in the creative department.

One of the things that I've been doing quite a bit lately is collaborating with other creatives here in Columbus! There's no doubt about it, Columbus is busting at the seams with creativity. From fellow stylists, event planners, fashion designers, graphic designers, photographers, you name it. One of the things I love most about working with other creatives, is how it naturally stretches you.

Breakfast at Kitties? Why yes, please!There are many moments when I like to channel my inner Audrey Hepburn. And I think the reasons why are pretty obvious...she's the epitome of classic chic and y'all know I love classic. When I find myself wanting to stylistically be "Audrey" for the day, I like to approach things classically, all while making sure there is a "small" dose of edge that gives it my touch.

With our temperatures on the up and up, I knew I had to get busy and share this look! I know, it's a bell-sleeve mockneck and in the dead of Spring. LOL. But I must admit, it's kinda perfect for Spring. Incredibly light and breathable for these warm temperatures we are FINALLY having! Bless it.

Y'all. I'm BACK! I've been a pretty terrible blogger lately. I never thought it would be a problem to have TOO MUCH content. Welp, I was wrong. Having too much content to select from is just as overwhelming as not having enough. Needless to say, I've learned my lesson.

I'm pretty much the worst at finishing my magazines. I purchase them with the intention of doing a super cool flat lay for Instagram, finding some new style inspiration and all that other good stuff. However, that typically never happens. Determined to change my ways, I just completed InStyle's March magazine yesterday.

Spring may officially be here according to the calendar, but it's NOT here physically. Well, at least not in Ohio. Per the weather app on my iPhone, we do have some "warmer" days on the horizon. However, considering how bipolar our winter has been, I am not getting my hopes up just yet!

Supposedly, Greenery is the 2017 Color of the Year. However, if you’ve had your ear to the ground, you’ll know that pink is really shaping up to be the star color for 2-0-1-7. Yes, PINK. From the red carpet to Paris Fashion Week to the streets, pink is without a doubt the go-to color if you are looking to make a statement.

There's one thing that I never leave home without and that's either a sweater or scarf. Being cold natured, I know it is highly likely that I will find myself freezing at some point. Heck, I find myself freezing at home. To put it simply, sweaters and scarves are my go-to's for warmth!

Vertical stripes + a little dose of velvet. My frand Val would say and I quote, "Yassssssss Queen ." I have to say, there is something quite magical about the velvet trend. I literally cannot get enough of it these days. Granted, I was a little late to whole-heartedly accepting the trend, but now that I have "my pieces," I am completely and utterly obsessed.

It was either 4th or 5th grade...I'm pretty sure it was 5th grade, that I vividly remember wearing overalls. In fact, I'm pretty sure I was wearing them for picture day. Any who, I know that I have not worn overalls {or bibs as we call them down South} since then.
